The Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals is excited to announce the launch of our new and improved website! We’ve designed it to give visitors a more streamlined user experience, with easier access to information about resources and services to meet their pet care needs.
Upon entering the site, visitors can immediately click on portals to two essential categories of information: Need Help? and Want to Help?.
A single click on Need Help? takes you to a menu of valuable resources that any pet owner might need to locate emergency and non-emergency providers and services for their pets, as well as assistance with other pet-related situations.
Visitors can quickly access information about critical, time-sensitive services, including emergency veterinary hospitals, where to turn if you suspect your pet has ingested a toxic substance, veterinary providers who offer reduced-cost services, potential sources of free pet food, lost and found pet assistance, and information about surrendering or finding temporary housing for a pet. Likewise, resources for low-cost spay/neuter services, microchipping, vaccinations, and dog licensing are just a click away.
For people seeking to improve the welfare of animals in New York City, our new Want to Help? menu helps visitors explore many exciting opportunities. Looking to adopt or foster a homeless pet? Want to volunteer for a shelter or rescue group? Maybe you have pet food or supplies you’d like to donate, or want to learn how to make cage comforters for shelter animals? Want to learn about TNR and get involved helping community cats? Or find a career in animal welfare? Information about these opportunities – and more – are only a click away.
For more than two decades, the Mayor’s Alliance has played a strategic role in improving the lives of New York City’s animals. Those interested in reading about our history will find a wealth of information about our past key initiatives, innovative programs, and highly successful events in our About Us section.
We invite you to explore our new website, whether you have an immediate need for information or simply wish to acquaint yourself with the many resources and services available to New York City pet owners and others who care about New York City’s animals.
