Out of the Cage!
May 2010
First, a sincere thank you to all the people and organizations that helped to make our first Adoptapalooza in Washington Square Park such a great success. This event was truly a collaborative effort involving many organizations, businesses, individuals…and animals, too! From adopters to APOs to celebrities, media friends, and New York City pet lovers, we want you to know how much we appreciate all the support and enthusiasm you brought to this event.
As we move into the summer months, you'll have plenty more opportunities to meet your new best furry friend. As you'll read in this issue of Out of the Cage!, the North Shore Animal League America Mobile Adoption Units will be continue to make regular appearances throughout the city, as they have done for the past several years, hosting cats and dogs from other APOs that do not have adoption locations or that need additional exposure for their animals, as they did for AC&C, Sean Casey Animal Rescue, and the Picasso Veterinary Fund at Adoptapalooza. And all the shelters and rescue groups in New York City are ready to welcome you to meet their great Little New Yorkers for adoption!
We hope you'll join us at White House Black Market on June 4 for a special fundraising evening. And be sure to check out our calendar of events for all the great activities you can enjoy this summer. If you're planning an animal-related event, be sure to submit it to our calendar.
Our Summer issue of NYC Eartips, the e-newsletter of the New York City Feral Cat Initiative, will be published next month, so if you want to read all the latest news about our efforts with NYC's community cats, subscribe now if you haven't already.
Enjoy this issue of Out of the Cage! We always appreciate hearing from our readers, so please feel free to e-mail us at enews@AnimalAllianceNYC.org if you have questions or comments about our e-newsletter.
Best wishes,
