Fifteen years ago, when the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals was in its infancy and three out of every four animals entering our city shelters were being killed, I couldn’t imagine how writing this letter would feel.

Today, when we are now saving more than 94% of the homeless animals who enter our city’s shelters, I can say, “It feels great!”

I also am pleased to acknowledge that your support has been a major driver in transforming New York City into a community where our homeless animals have so many more opportunities for a bright future, as demonstrated by the more than 340,000 precious lives that have been saved through our strategic programs and collaboration since 2003.

Together, we can continue to create more bright futures in the year ahead. Thank you.
