On October 11, the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals was happy to provide a low-cost microchipping clinic at the annual My Dog Loves Central Park event sponsored by Central Park Paws. New York dog lovers braved the rainy weather and came to the park to enjoy a day of family-friendly entertainment, giveaways, information, and services. Dr. Michael Berman from On The Go Veterinary Services and veterinary technician, Chris, provided 27 pets (including 3 cats) with microchips, an excellent tool that can help reunite pets with their owners through a simple electronic scan for information at a vet clinic or shelter.
Microchips truly save lives, so we highly recommend that all dogs and cats undergo this simple procedure, which can be performed by your veterinarian or at a clinic like this one. Also, don’t forget keep your registration contact information updated.
