Adoption Events: From Stray to Happy Home

Zoey is celebrating her one-year adoption anniversary this month. Thanks to the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals and our mega-adoption events in NYC, she is loving her new life (and new haircut!) with her adopter Katie in sunny Florida. “I couldn’t be happier to have Zoey as my best friend and partner over the past year,” wrote Katie.

Zoey was pulled from the Animal Care Centers of NYC after being found as a stray on Staten Island. Zoey and Katie met aboard the Alliance’s adoption van at Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days in June 2014, and after one year together Katie says, “Thank you for giving me the best dog ever!”

Our adoption events have found homes for thousands of animals who otherwise may not have met their match. Together we can build on this incredible success and connect hundreds more animals with adopters in 2015.
