It’s almost here: Maddie’s® Pet Adoption Days, the biggest FREE pet adoption event in the country!
Created by Maddie’s Fund® and presented in New York City by the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals, the two-day 2014 Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days in NYC is expected to be even bigger and better than last year’s event, when more than 3,000 dogs and cats were adopted. Our goal this year is to do more than 3,500 free adoptions!
During this special weekend, pet adoptions will be FREE to qualified adopters from more than 90 participating NYC-area shelters and rescue groups. Adopt at any one of more than 100 locations, including a two-day mega adoption event in Union Square, or by appointment.

If you’re thinking of adopting a dog, cat, puppy, or kitten, now’s the perfect time, because everyone wins! Thousands of wonderful animals will find the new homes they’re dreaming of, adopters won’t have to pay adoption fees, and participating shelters and rescue groups will receive a generous adoption subsidy from Maddie’s Fund for every adoption they make during the weekend.
