Maddie's Spay/Neuter Project NYC

Maddie's Spay/Neuter Project NYC

If you reside within the five boroughs of New York City and have a valid Medicaid card, you can have up to a total of six cats or dogs (or a combination of cats/dogs totaling no more than six) spayed or neutered each year for a special low price at participating veterinarians and non-profit organizations.

Spay Day USA 2008

HSUS Spay Day USA

Each year on the last Tuesday of February, Spay Day USA shines a national spotlight on spay/neuter. Veterinarians and their staff, animal welfare professionals, business owners, and concerned citizens join forces nationwide to spay or neuter as many animals as possible, and to promote spay/neuter as an essential component of good pet health care, in addition to being an effective and humane means of decreasing the euthanasia of homeless animals in shelters. During Spay Day USA's first thirteen years, participants spayed or neutered more than 1,386,000 companion animals and feral cats, preventing millions of surplus births and saving millions of taxpayers' dollars! You can organize or volunteer at a Spay Day USA event in your community, or you can simply sponsor the spay or neuter of at least one companion animal or feral cat. Download the Spay Day USA event planning guide for more information and ideas for getting involved.

For more information, visit the Spay Day USA web site.
