In addition to becoming Certified TNR Caretakers, we encourage New York City area residents who are interested in helping feral and stray community cats to attend our free workshops giving in-depth instruction on various specialties related to TNR and the care of cats and kittens.

Bottle-Feeding & Care of Orphaned Kittens

Learn the skills needed to successfully bottle-feed and care for orphaned kittens. Find out how to navigate all the stages of kitten care, and what equipment, formula, and bottle-feeding techniques get the best results.

Taming Feral Kittens for Adoption

Using film footage of successful techniques, combined with insights into the biological development of kittens, we will teach you how to tame and socialize feral kittens quickly and efficiently so they can be adopted into indoor homes. These techniques also work on shy cats as well as some older ferals!

Building Shelters for Outdoor Cats

Learn the materials, tools, and skills needed to build warm, waterproof shelters to protect feral and stray community cats from cold winter temperatures and precipitation. We will demonstrate how to build two styles of outdoor winter shelters. You will also learn about cat shelters that are available for purchase.
