Adoptapalooza is back! This family event features dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens for adoption on North Shore Animal League America mobile adoption units from Animal Care & Control of NYC (AC&C), Animal Haven, Sean Casey Animal Rescue, and the Picasso Veterinary Fund of the Mayor's Alliance. Plus, dogs from several different pure breed dog rescue groups will also be available for adoption. This free public event will also feature a cool raffle drawing, pet photographer, Ask-the-Vet, Ask-the-Trainer, and other fun activities for all family members — two- and four-legged alike!

Adopt-A-Dog: 23rd Annual "Puttin' on the Dog" Show and Festival

Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, Greenwich, CT

Each year more than 5,000 people attend this popular family event. Throughout the day, there will be a dog show with seventeen categories, such as Biggest Lap Dog, K-9 Krooners, A Pooch Who Can Smooch, and Clever K-9 Tricks to enter your dog in. All contestants receive a ribbon. This family venue is a crowd-pleaser, with a special guest appearance by Rescue Ink, dogs and cats for adoption, police demonstrations, celebrity judges, great food, clowns, children's play area, silent auction, grab bags, lots of vendors, and much, much more. Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for seniors and children over 5; children under 5 are free.
